About
What is VBS 2009: The Midnight Museum?
VBS stands for Vacation Bible School, a week long summer adventure at Mariners Church beginning on June 22, 2009 through June 26, 2009, 8:45a-12:30p daily. The entire campus will be transformed as kids come to experience this year’s theme: The Midnight Museum, where HIStory comes alive!
VBS is for kids entering Kindergarten through 5th grade in the fall of 2009. VBS also offers a preschool program, open to VBS volunteers only, for their preschool-aged children to attend while their parent(s) volunteer during the entire VBS week.
Each VBS kid is assigned into a group with kids their age with a “guide” that leads them each day of VBS through the fun and fabulous activities. Each VBS kid is also given a t-shirt to wear to VBS every day.
What will a VBS kid experience at The Midnight Museum?
A VBS kid’s day consists of quality activities and life changing experiences. VBS kids are presented with spectacular stories and move-your-feet music during the opening morning program. VBS kids attend various events each day with their assigned group and guide, which include crafts, recreation on the lawn with a one day wild water day, Bible stories and fantastic food.
At the completion of their day, a VBS kid and their group meet back for the day’s closing program where they are presented with another spectacular story and the daily move-and-groove music before the closing prayer is given and the day concludes.
